UPT-360 is a milling and sawing unit with a multi-level profile of removal, which allows to obtain boards of different widths with maximum output of lumber in one pass of a log. The complex is a compact industrial installation for deep longitudinal processing of logs with a diameter of 120 to 360 millimeters.

The cross-sections of the finished product can vary depending on the multi-level profile of the removal, which is set by a milling-paving unit with rapid adjustment of the width of the block and a multi-stage milling-sawing unit. This configuration allows you to get boards of different widths in one pass. In this case, the diameter of the workpiece can be from 120 to 360 millimeters, and the length is from 1.6 to 6.5 meters.

On the UPT-360 machine, log sawing involves milling cutters that remove the side surfaces of the log, followed by milling and sawing blocks that produce multi-level sawing of the block into boards of different widths. At the exit of the machine, a ready-made horizontal stack of boards of different widths and two humps is obtained.

The presence of side milling cutters in the sawing scheme ensures the operation of horizontal discs on a clean surface, thereby significantly extending the service life of the saw blades. The milling-paving unit is equipped with a mechanism for quickly changing the width of the block with one button, due to which the operator can quickly adjust the size without stopping the machine, eliminating pre-sorting of logs.

The receiving table of the installation is equipped with self-centering pressure rollers and a bed with variable geometry, which helps to correctly position even the most curved workpieces.

The automatic speed control system APS - independently determines the position of the log, controls the load on the main motors and automatically adjusts the feed rate of logs to achieve maximum machine productivity.

For the convenience of working with the UPT-360 installation, an automated ASPB-300 log feeding system can optionally be used. This system greatly facilitates the process of loading and tipping logs, allowing the operator to reduce the physical load and speed up the preparation of the material for cutting.
